Sign of the Times

Looks like the modern dollhouse movement is taking shape, we're news baby! If you haven't seen today's article in the New York Times click here. I am thrilled to see our hobby in such a great light. Who knows, maybe this exposure can even lead to more modern miniatures on the market. It would be great if companies started realizing people want to model the world around them.

Nothing like a major news story (ahem, front page of the Home section) to lend some credibility to the hobby no one knew you had.

  7. Hi petitenouveau, I came over too from the Two Brunettes blog, then the NY Times website, and I ended in your awesome blog. I totally love miniature stuff, i'm so happy that there are other options for dollhouses besides the typical Victorian stuff, so cool, keep up the awesome work :) I actually got a miniature designer chair from KidRobot, but I don't think they carry it anymore. But I saw the Japanese website in the article that carries them, do they ship to the US?

  9. Hi brae, have you seen mini modernistas lights - to die for. Also, elf miniatures is making some pretty awesome wired lights. The only wired ones I have are for the lundby stockholm but they make a huge difference.

  10. Hi Jeanelle, thanks for stopping by. I've never ordered directly from the reac website so I don't know how their shipping works. I have had a lot of luck on eBay though. If you're not comfortable going that route elf miniatures in the UK sells reac on her site. Be warned though, you will want every single thing she sells! : ) There's a link to her site on my home page.
