News, News, News!

Lots to talk about today and LOTS of exciting news.

First off, the wonderful people at Chronicle Books are sending the new MoMA Modern playhouse my way as a giveaway for one of you lucky ducks! It comes complete with furniture that can be restructured for tons of patterns and it retails for only $19.99! More details to come on the contest, stay tuned. Click
here to check it out.

Check out this pop up dollhouse from Katherine Davis that you can print as a PDF here. I can see a lot of potential for interesting wall art and accessories here. It's definitely worth checking out and a super creative approach. Wanna try it out? The piano in the picture below can be downloaded for free from her website.

If you have been looking for the Miele kitchen set then get thyself to Mini Bijou Miniatures STAT! I saw one on German eBay going for considerably more last week. I have been looking for the cabinets for over a year and this is the first time I have found them. They were sold out a few days ago but it looks like they are back in stock. The people there are great and shipping, even internationally, was fast. Plus, the cabinet set is only 15 pounds, so roughly about $25.
Lastly, on my quest for a wedding dress I went to Cincinnati and while we were there I had my first IKEA experience. I found drawer handles that will make perfect side tables and tons of inspiration. More to come on that too!

  1. So great you found that really cheap Miele kitchen in Europe!!! I have many troubles now: Should I buy the City-building set Rebecca featured (I found one for 29$) or should I buy these Miele items I havn't got allready or should I buy some more lundby pieces I am missing in my smaland.... that's such a hard decision.
I don' like this paper or cardboard-furniture so much, so there is no doubt...;-)
And I'm looking forward to seeing your ikea finds and inspirations gone into a new scene.
I'm curios about your wedding dress too.

  2. Hi Oese!

I was pretty excited to find the kitchen set too. The appliances have been available from a few places but this is the first time I've seen the cabinets. I figured I couldn't be the only one looking high and low for these.

The pop ups are intriguing to me. I don't know that I would use too much of the furniture but the I think the accessories could be useable. If I check it out I will definitely post it.

Hah, you're funny! I thought about posting a picture of the dresses I've liked but I thought "Eh, no one wants to see that." Maybe I'll do that. : )

  3. Boohoo.
I'm late reading this and the link to the Katherine Davis PDF no longer works. I'd love to see it.
Any chance you saved the PDF file?

Great blog you've got going here.
    Consider yourself bookmarked!
