All work and some play

So this has pretty much been my life for the past few months, work stuffed into nooks and crannies, papers spilling out of binders, caffeine within arms reach... no wonder that's what came to mind. I also liked that this room is set up to work on a sweet mini dollhouse, courtesy of Oese.

Mostly this gave me a chance to break out some great things that I have been staring longingly at over the top of my laptop.

The Stuff:

MacBook, Wii - ebay find, Orange bookshelf - IKEA, White Sofa - AG Minis, Books, Pearl Jam wall art, awesome mini house, sofa pillows - swap with Oese, Green desk chair - Reac, White ottomans - Lundby, Orange floor lamp - Megahouse

  1. Hi!
I'm glad to have you back! And I hope you'll find time beside the exhausting work for your private life, family and relaxing. If you relax with your dollshouse-hobby, we all will benefit!
Of course I like this room, especially the desk and the orange lamp.
    Best wishes!

  2. I like the pictures on the wall, and the fretwork above the fireplace! And, of course, the terrific tiny house as pimped by Oese :-))

  6. Thanks so much for the comments, I missed you guys! I'm glad to hear it still looked modern to other people. I was thinking it looked a little retro with all the Brady Bunch orange furniture. I maybe should have called this Ode to Oese since I set it up to use her house, books, pillows, Pearl Jam postcard (cut out to make the wall art and propped up to look like albums on the shelves) and bookshelf items. This little house makes me want to try my hand at minis for minis but I don't think I have the patience for it. I'll just drool over Oese's! As for the IKEA furniture it is really IKEA but it's a little larger than 1:12 scale. I've had it for awhile and this is the first time it's stayed in a scene. I normally end up taking it out because it just seems too big. If you're interested in it maybe we could swap. I poked around and found a link to some IKEA furniture for you. It's on ebay uk but it's the same furniture, you can see it here:
